Cleric changes? Don’t tell Neo

I’ve been quiet here as I have not been doing a lot of D&D things lately, but with the Cleric changes today (and the reaction to them) I thought I would throw this together – enjoy!

Uh oh...

Personally, I’m so far removed from gaming at this point that I have no grasp of how this effects the game-play/feel of the Cleric, so really I have no opinion one way or another.

    1. I don’t know. I’m not for or against the changes, was the point of the comment really. I have seen a lot of people upset, and only one person happy (at least across the few forums I browse, and Twitter, etc) so I made an image reflecting that. I have played in two Pathfinder games between November 2010 and now – that’s it as far as “playing”. I never played a Cleric in 4e ever, and I DM’d (4e) almost exclusively anyway, leaving class info to the players for the most part.

I suppose most blog posts have opinion in them in some form, but is this really even a blog post? I lazily posted an image, haha.

      Thanks for stopping in!

  1. Ahhh… Matrix, classic!

Area reduction and damage reduction – those were most of the changes in five words or less. Or five words exactly!

Definitely tough for long-time cleric-players, who have long loved the cleric’s classic balance of offense and defense. It seems WotC thought their offensive output was a bit too high.

    1. Oh yea, I read the changes and read a LOT of responses across many sites – it just doesn’t effect me at all, for multiple reasons. I have a friend who played a Cleric for a long time, but he has not seen the changes so I have no idea what he will think.

  2. I posted an article on my blog about why I think people are perhaps disgruntled. And I think it lies in how errata is executed in Character Builder.
