Here’s a quick tutorial I made on how to very quickly duplicate items in your single player Minecraft game.
I am posting this because I know some people were curious about it, and quite honestly I don’t want there to be ways to duplicate items in the game. My assumption is this will be resolved at least by the Oct 31 update. I don’t imagine I am the only one to have come across this, but my quick searches did not discover this method elsewhere.
Anyway, here it is…
I can’t hear you. I have my volume up all the way and it’s just a whisper.
Yea, that’s odd.
Here are some instructions…
1) Whatever you want duplicated, make sure it is not on your person (make sure it’s in a chest, etc)
2) Hit ESC so it saves your game
3) Go “Back to Game”
4) Pull out what you want duplicated, and put it in your inventory
5) Hit “I” (inventory) to close the chest window, then hit “I” again to bring up your standard inventory window
6) Close the game via the red “X” – do not hit ESC and leave that way, simply close the window
What it seems to do is to save the inventory status of your chest in step #2 but when you remove items, put them in your inventory, and close the game, it does not update the chest inventory BUT closing the game this was DOES remember what is in your personal inventory.
Hey I did this and it worked gr8 then it just deleted everything…
I have done this literally hundreds of times now and never had that happen… my brother has done this as well, and so have others I know, so I’m not sure what to say 🙁
I have found a new way well possible an old one.
1. Drop what you want to duplicate on the floor by going on inventory and clicking the item and placing the item outside of the box
2. Hit ‘Esc’ and save and quit
3. Go back on that world and pick up the dropped items
4. Then as quick as possible hit ‘Esc’ and press the red ‘X’ and best NOT to do this in fullscreen
IF this does not work then i am not sure why as it works for me 😛
